‘Mkhonto’ donates borehole to St’John Church

It was like ’Manna from heaven’ for the St’ John Apostolic Church of Prophecy in Zone 12, Sebokeng when they received a donation in a form of a borehole from the Sedibeng Regional ANC Treasurer, Johny 'Mkhonto' Radebe recently.

SEBOKENG.- The church’s Senior Bishop, Bishop Theko Nku believes that Radebe was sent by God to his church. Bishop Nku said that as a church they were surprised by Radebe’s generosity when he decided to donate the borehole to them, after a visit to the church.

“As St’ John Apostolic Church we want to thank Mr Radebe because he saw our need, without us telling him. I want to believe that Mr Radebe was sent by God to our church because after he visited us, he came and installed this borehole water system. This was our biggest challenge, to be without water and God answered our prayers through Mr Radebe. As a church we want to thank him for his commitment to our community, and I’m aware that apart from our church he helps other churches in our community.”

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Radebe said that after he visited the church, he realised that some of the challenges the church faced was a lack of water.

“I visited the church and when I left, I didn’t tell them what I was planning to do for them because I could see water was their main challenge. In fact, I have been assisting a few churches in our community because churches play an important role in our communities. I want to thank Bishop Nku for welcoming me to his church,” said Radebe
