Suspects arrested for unlicensed firearms

The Gauteng Rapid Respond Services in a joint operation with the Sedibeng K9 Unit, Crime Intelligence unit arrested two suspects for possession of the unlicensed firearms recently.

DE DEUR._ Sedibeng Flying Squad Communication Officer Warrant Officer Seaman, said that police further went on to seize two unlicensed firearms. This comes after information was received about two troublesome suspects with firearms.

“The information led the team to Wheilers Farm, in the De Deur area where a house was approached by Warrant Officer Sameul Stona and Sergeant Victor Ramoleta. The suspects were apprehended and the house was searched. Two firearms were found before the suspects were arrested. A silver Luger 9mm Parabellum pistol with 4 live rounds and a Black VZOR 7.65 pistol with 7 live rounds of ammunition were seized.”

 

The suspects aged between 35 and 48 years will appear in the Vereeniging magistrate court soon on the related charges.
