Former Chiefs star hosts the elderly at Mid Corner on Mandela Day

It was a fun filled day for Vukuzenzele Old Age Home when Mid Corner, formerly Chesa Nyama, in conjunction with former Kaizer Chiefs star, Abia Nale spoiled the elderly people on Monday, Mandela Day.

SEBOKENG.- Katleho Mofokeng, who is the owner of Mid Corner, hosted the elderly people as part of celebrating Mandela Day/Month.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Nale said that he wants to thank Mid Corner’s Mofokeng for his generosity to host the elderly people.
Nale has been involved with the elderly home since his days as a player. He told Sedibeng Ster that, as always, it was heart-warming to see the elderly people having fun and enjoying themselves.

“I want to thank Mr Mofokeng for inviting me to be part of this initiative because these elderly people are close to my heart. We need people like Mr Mofokeng in our community who care about our senior citizens, and it was a day well spent and from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank him for his generosity towards the elderely poor,” he said.

For the past ten years Nale has hosted a Christmas Party for the elderly people of Vukuzenzele Old Age Home in Zone 14 as part of him ploughing back to his community. He told Sedibeng Ster that together with Mofokeng, they plan other charity projects that will improve the lives of the Sebokeng community.
