SEDIBENG.- Local soccer fans packed the dusty soccer grounds to capacity to watch exciting football, otherwise known as ‘kasi football’. They filled the venues from the morning until late in the afternoon.
For example, there was a Top Sixteen Tournament that came to an end over the weekend. This tournament took place for the past three weeks organised by Vino Snap in conjunction with Hollywood. This is the best tournament of its kind to take place in Sedibeng with local soccer fans enjoying each and every moment of action.
Apart from this Hollywood Soccer Tournament, there is also another Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Tournament that is taking place in the community known as Gushadee Youth Winter Tournament for the u/12, 15, u/17 and u/21. The tournament takes place in Bophelong, Sharpeville, Sebokeng and Evaton. The tournament is sponsored by Gushadee Clothing Company to plough back to the community. This is not the first time Gushadee company sponsored development tournament in this region.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Emfuleni Local Football Association’s Junior League Coordinator, Masters Zondo said the final will take place this weekend.
