SHARPEVILLE.- The community members were joined by the joined by Bacha ba Botshepehi youth development choir and Inkezimolo ye Nceba gospel choir members during the fun walk that started at the Dlomo Dam. Speaking about the walk, Audrey Maloisane, the organizer of the event, said that some people are not aware that the color of the skin is natural and that Vitiligo is nowadays widely being celebrated abroad.
“The aim is to educate the community not to be embarrassed by a person with black and white skin.”
- Vitiligo is a long-term condition where pale white patches develop on the skin. It’s caused by the lack of melanin, which is the pigment in skin. Vitiligo can affect any area of skin, but it commonly happens on the face, neck and hands, and in skin creases.
