Statistics show drop in youth unemployment

"Our future as youth looks bleak. The future is in our hands and if we can wait for the government we will not go anywhere," said Busisiwe Fantise.

SHARPEVILLE.- A 26- year-old together with her friends woke up in the early cold winter morning to clean dumping places in Ward 22 Tshepiso Phase1, Sharpeville on June 16. This was done as part of the remembrance to the Soweto students that died on 16 June in 1976.

” We also remember the 49 victims that died during the Boipatong Massacre on 17 June 1992. The 1976 youth were fighting for better education. As the youth we decided to sleeve up and dirty our hands. We want to make sure that we keep the area clean.”
