Girl raped on her way to school in De Deur

The police in the Family violence, Child protection and Sexual offences (FCS) unit are looking for the man in the picture in connection with a rape incident that happened in April. 

DE DEUR. – According to police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda, the victim was on her way to school when the incident happened.

“It is reported by the complainant that she was on her way to school, walking through an open veld in Thulamntwana when she was approached by an unknown African male.

“The man grabbed her by the hand and instructed her not to give him a tough time as he would be quick. He then took her to the middle of the veld, took out a knife and raped her.

“The suspect  subsequently fled the scene. The suspect is about 24 years of age, dark in complexion, short in height and of medium build. He speaks Zulu with a Tsonga accent.”
