Bike and car collide, leaving one dead
A man in his 40s was killed when a light motor vehicle and motorbike collided on Skippie Botha Road in Sonland Park, Vereeniging on Monday.
VEREENIGING.- ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the car and motorbike on the side of the road. The biker, a man in his 40s, was found lying roughly 20 metres away from his bike.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained several injuries, and his vital signs were rapidly diminishing. CPR and advanced life support interventions were immediately initiated in an effort to stabilise the patient. Unfortunately, after some time, the man succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the car, fortunately, escaped injury.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
