Action galore at France ground

It was talent galore at France dusty ground in Muvhango, Bophelong when the local teams kick started their battle  in the Super Sixteen Cup campaign over the weekend.

BOPHELONG.-This prestigious tournament started with the u/21 on Saturday and the first teams on Sunday. It was a great advert of ‘kasi football’ with the local soccer fans coming in big numbers to support this initiative. Apart from the talent on display, there was also action galore throughout the day with fans enjoyi g each and every moment of action.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Ben “Duku Duku” who is one of the organisers of the event said that it was a great start for the tournament with some great football in displayed. He said he was overwhelmed by the talent in display on Saturday and Sunday.

“No doubt about this, Sedibeng is gifted when it comes to talent that is why our players are all over the PSL teams. This is the cream of Sedibeng football and I have no doubt that these boys can go far with football if they are under good hands especially the u/21 age groups. It is not about winning but giving these youngsters a platform to showcase their talent. I watched all the games and I must say that in every team there is an exceptional player.”

The tournament will continue this coming weekend at the same venue with the u/21 teams battling it out in the top eight while the senior teams will be competing for the semi-finals spot.
