Tebza Mozania releases Amapiano Soul
Under G Rekordz and Tebza Mozania are thrilled to announce the release of a 13 track album from artist Tebza Mozania, real name Teboho Phume.
SEDIBENG.- The album is titled ‘Amapiano Soul’ and is a fusion of dance and soul music, said Tebza Mozania, and if you are into music that touches the heart and soul at the same time as you want to dance and have fun, then this album is for you. He adds that it will be a first time experience for most listeners to hear beautiful rhythms, melodies and the piercing voice that penetrates the heart and soul. Mozania is a versatile musician, song writer, lyricist, composer, arranger and a performer who embarked on his music journey at the age of eleven as a keyboardist for the family choir and he formed his music group at the age of 14.
He is based in Soweto but has his roots in the Vaal.
In 1990 he joined and performed with different bands around townships and as he was thirsty to acquire more information his aspiration led him to enrol first with Contemporary music college in Tshwane and later with FUBA School of Music based in the New Town Precinct, Johannesburg, and he fuelled his passion for music by further enrolling with the university of Cape Town to study Jazz performers program and African music. He established his Record Company in 2014 under the name Under G Rekordz. Tebza Mozania pledges to give the continent and the world the best of his abilities to satisfy the listener’s ear.
“My interest in music is to utilise my God given talent and to create a beautiful lifestyle that is relevant and that will influence the youth to stay away from unnecessary stuff like drugs and alcohol. In the next two years I want to see myself reaching the paramount status of my role models such as Master KG, Ringo Madlingozi, Ntando, Vusi Nova, Casper Nyovest, Arthur Mafokate and Khaya Mahlangu.”
