Sedibeng SAB League title race is still far from over

It will go down to the wire!

SEDIBENG.- The Safa Sedibeng SAB League remains with two games before the end of the season, but there is still no clarity as to which teams will be crowned league champions from both streams.

As things stand, VUT FC are log leaders in Stream A, Boipatong FC is second on the log with a game in hand and Juventus FC is third placed on the log. Real Hearts FC is at the summit of the Stream B while Real Perfect Academy is second on the log with a game in hand. Safa Sedibeng Regional League Coordinator, Mandla Dipanyekga, told Sedibeng Ster Sport over the weekend that the teams have outstanding games and this could change the log standing, especially at the top. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that for now it is still not clear which teams will be crowned champions from both streams with two games remaining. It is going to be a ‘photo finish’, taking into consideration the log standing and the gap between the teams at the top, second and third.

Dipanyekga said that in Stream A, it is a three-horse race between VUT FC, Boipatong FC and Juventus FC. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the above three mentioned teams stand a good chance to be crowned champions in Stream A if the weekend results are anything to go by especially those who were involved in the outstanding games. The winners in both streams will play together to produce the winner that will represent Sedibeng at the Promotional Play-offs in the ABC Motsepe League. Last season this region failed to produce an ABC Motsepe League team after Real Barcelona FC failed at the Safa Regional Promotional Play-offs that were held here at NWU Vaal Campus.
