Man found hanging on tree behind Isaak Steyl stadium

The police in Sharpeville have launched an Inquest case docket following the discovery of a body of an African male.

SHARPEVILLE. – The body was discovered hanging on a tree behind Isaak Steyl Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Police spokesperson Constable Busiswe Sango says, “Police responded to the complaint and on arrival found an African male in his late 20s hanging from a tree.

“The deceased was wearing a black beanie, black top, black jeans, and black Reebok sneakers.

“The identity of the deceased is unknown at this stage . Police are appealing to members of the public who may know the deceased or may have a missing family member fitting the description of the deceased to come to the station or contact Detective Sergeant Mutlaneng on 073 826 0593.”
