TOWN SUBSTATION
Preliminary tests on the 30 MVA transformer have been completed and they are positive. Oil test results just came in and technicians have confirmed that the transformer status is positive. Cable work is currently underway and the replacement breaker will be delivered today.
Once the breaker is successfully installed and all the panels have been reassembled, technicians will commence with follow up tests. ETR will be communicated once all tests are completed.
MUNIC SUBSTATION
The delivery of the replacement transformer is scheduled for Friday (22 April 2022). Preparatory work for power restoration is underway. ETR will be communicated as soon as the transformer is onsite.
SAMMONS SUBSTATION
Owing to challenges on some of the feeder cables, power supply to parts of SE 6 and SE 7 will be restored on Thursday, 21 April 2022.
With the recent spate of protests over electricity challenges observed in the area on Tuesday, the municipality continues to pleading for patience from all affected consumers as technicians work on efforts to restore power supply.
