SHARPEVILLE.- It takes a while for young and talented artists from the Vaal to get the recognition that they deserve, one such is an artist from Sharpeville who goes by the name of ‘Definition Da Don’.

Definition Da Don is a very talented artist from the pits of Sharpeville and is locally recognized because of his ear catching music and mesmerizing flows. He started his interest in music at the age of 9 when he was first a public speaker for his Primary school, Park Ridge primary, going by the stage name of ‘Small Show’ back then.

“I then began being interested in Hip Hop through my Dad’s influence following one of today’s big names in the Vaal (Maths Dipalo, Sir Change etc) and other industry names like Golden Shovel , K Method and more. Definition Da Don said that he began being interested in ‘Old School Hip Hop’ through the influence of his Dad before he switched his stagename from ‘Small Show’ to ‘Gangstaa’.

His first famous song, released in his primary school years was “Y’all rappers is losing”, released at only age 15. The young man then joined a group called Vaal Empire. “Due to personal issues the Vaal Empire Crew had to scatter, and the crew fell apart. I then went quiet for a long period of time due to lack of a recording studio. But that didn’t stop me from writing hot verses. In 2019 I got the chance to record again and came through with his 3 well known songs (Dior remix, I Murda, I’m a boss) that’s when I changed my name again to Definition Da Don.”

He said that he is now consistent in the music game as he’s titled ‘the best’ by his fans and other rapper’s fans too.
