Nketsing urges community to wear netball t-shirts for World Cup

" We want to make a humble plea to Sedibeng’s young and old to wear netball t-shirt to promote the world cup spirit like we did with the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup.”

SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng Netball Federation President, Fakazile Nketsing urges the Sedibeng community to wear netball t-shirts on Fridays in promoting the spirit of the 2023 Netball World Cup which is to be hosted by South Africa.

South Africa will be hosting this biggest world sporting event in Cape Town from June to July next year. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Nketsing made a special plea to the Sedibeng community to wear netball t-shirts on Fridays as part of promoting the spirit of the Netball World Cup. Netball South Africa has started with their campaign to mobilise in communities for the support for this event. Nketsing said that those who want to buy the t-shirts can go to Netball South Africa website to order them.

“We urge every member of our community to wear netball t-shirt on Fridays in support of the World Cup Netball that will take place in Cape Tow next year June. So we want to make a humble plea to Sedibeng’s young and old to wear netball t-shirt to promote the world cup spirit like we did with the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup,” she said.

Nketsing told Sedibeng Ster Sport that she is hoping that by next year the fans would be allowed to come to watch the games live. To date, fans are still not allowed back in the stadiums, however, there is hope that soon the fans will be allowed to watch the sports once again even though there are some disagreements in some sporting codes like football. There has been an effort to force the return of the to the stadium especially those who are vaccinated. Many believe that the sport is no longer the same without fans at the stadium with players also feeling hopeless without them especially football and rugby players who were used to play in front of full capacity crowds.
