Evaton Police combat crimes at schools

The search was conducted as part of the ‘safer school program’.

EVATON.- Evaton Police showed their intent to rid schools of criminal activity when they conducted a search at Thandukwazi Secondary School in Zone 6, Sebokeng, recently.

Social Crime Prevention, Communications, Crime Prevention, CPF, Brigades and Sector Managers embarked on a school search, with the aim of apprehending dangerous weapons as well as looking for drugs. Police Spokesperson Constable Thulisile Msibi said that the search was conducted as part of the ‘safer school program’.

“This search promotes a safer school environment, to prevent, manage, and respond to incidents of crime in school. The school search was supervised by Captain Du Preez and during the search dangerous weapons were confiscated.”
