VANDERBIJLPARK. – Hlubi was facing a murder charge after he stabbed a traditional healer, Herieta Theka (53), to death in Bophelong Extension 6 on 3 December 2021.
According to Police Spokesperson Sergeant Gertrude Makhale, officers discovered the deceased when they went to check on the inmates.
“The cause of death is still under investigation,” said Makhale.
Speculation has it that he was allegedly a victim of ‘black magic’.
One of the angry traditional healers was heard outside the house of the deceased, saying something terrible will happen to the suspect.
Police said the suspect recently appeared in the Magistrate’s Court where he abandoned his bail application.
As for the murdered traditional healer,, she was allegedly caught red-handed having an affair with a male trainee when she was killed by the suspect.
The trainee has since been on the run. He was the last person to see the victim alive.
