Two people were injured when a bakkie and scooter collided on the R54 in Vanderbijlpark.
ER24 arrived at 22h12 on Thursday night to find the bakkie in the road while the scooter was found in the veld.
According to ER24 a man and a woman were found lying a few metres away.
“Medics assessed the patients and found that the woman had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition while the man was in a serious condition.
The patients were treated, and the woman was provided with advanced life support before the woman was airlifted by a medical helicopter to a nearby hospital. The man was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital.”
The driver of the bakkie, fortunately, escaped injury.”
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
