They were cheated and their eyesight was abused!

"There is no way we can do things controled by emotions, we must take sober decisions."

The decision to add a number of teams in SAB League and not relegate teams that finished at the bottom of their respective streams last season is going to have a negative impact as far as the standard of football is concerned in this region.

What TOUCHLINE experienced over the weekend is not good for the image of our football, and with due respect some of the newly promoted teams are not ready to play in Safa Sedibeng SAB. To be realistic, they can’t even beat lower divisions teams. How so, get this, an SAB League team suffered a  hammering of 11-0, so the message is clear, they were never ready to play in SAB League. Whoever suggested to add the number of teams in SAB is responsible for this comedy of errors. Even the soccer fans who came to watch the SAB League matches at George Thabe Stadium went home very disappointed. Yours truly, TOUCHLINE, experienced this comedy of errors with some teams playing with eight players.

Like really, in the SAB League nogal?

At the end of last season, it was suggested that the number of the teams be increased in SAB League to 24 and those that finished at the bottom of their respective streams must not be relegated.  This is the second season Safa Sedibeng SAB has had no temas relegated. It was clear over the weekend that those teams deserved to be relegated as some of them never honoured their fixtures because they didn’t have players.

It was not necessary to add the number of teams in SAB League to start with, taking into consideration the shortage of match officials and playing fields. Somebody is going to regret this decision to add the number of teams in SAB League and not relegate those teams finishing at the bottom of their respective streams last season. The problem with this region is that some people take decisions  at night like they are running a shebeen or tarven.

TOUCHLINE saw this coming, that increasing the number of teams in SAB was going to be a problem in the near future. TOUCHLINE is afraid that some teams won’t finish the league to say the least. I don’t see them completing first round. Sedibeng football need a serious  shake up! There is no way we can do things controled by emotions, we must take sober decisions, for the sake of the standard of our  football. It is going to be hard for the fans who were at George Thabe Stadium to come back to watch SAB League games taking into consideration what happened over the weekend.
