Vaal Dojo Karate Club to host all night training

This is the first of its kind all night training to be held in Sedibeng in karate.

SEBOKENG.- Vaal Dojo Karate Club has lined up a number of programmes scheduled to take place throughout the year.  Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the club Sensei, Buti Maqabe said they have lined up interesting projects including camps.

He said Vaal Dojo Club will continue to keep working hard to keep Sebokeng youth away from substance and drug abuse.

“Look, there is this substance commonly known as “lean” amongst the youth which is affecting our future champions or youth in our community. We as Vaal Dojo Karate Club will leave no stone unturn in cleaning these substances that are destroying our community especially young people. Youth is no more doing sports but involved in illegal activities such as drugs. Wi the help of the community we can defeat this if we work together as community and sports Federations. It is sad because this drugs thing is also affecting our sports because most of the athletes quit sports to do drugs because of bad influence in the community,” he said.

Sensei Maqabe revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport that Vaal Dojo Karate Club will be hosting an all night Gashuku training on February 5 at the club’s premises. Some of the karate clubs that said to participate in this all night Gashuku training are from as far as Soweto, Pretoria and Katlehong to mention but few. This is the first of its kind all night training to be held in Sedibeng in karate.
