MIDVAAL. – “Your dedication, commitment and hard work has finally reaped benefits. This is a momentous achievement and a first step in unlocking your future and reaching great heights,” said the Executive Mayor, Peter Teixeira in a statement, following the release of the results last week.
Teixeira urged those who did not do well to not give up or quit.
“It’s not the end yet, chin up and try again. Whatever you do, don’t ever give up or quit. You can do it,” said Teixeira.
He says: “It was the late President Nelson Mandela who said, ‘Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change your world.’
“The most certain path to success lies in trying one more time.
“To all those who made it, this is now the start of a new chapter in your life. Hard work has never failed anyone.
“All the best with your future endeavours,” said Teixeira.
