SEBOKENG.- It was hive of sporting activities during the festive holidays at various venues in Sedibeng.
Apart from the Pooe Festive Tournament, there were other tournaments that took place in the community. The Boitumelo Sports NPC hosted a successful netball and soccer tournament in the area.The tournament was for the u/15.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Boitumelo Sports NPC Publicist, Joseph Manzi said that they hosted two major tournaments during the festive season and that these tournaments were part of reach out projects. To make it interesting, Boitumelo Sports NPC donated soccer kits to needy local soccer teams. Slow Poison FC is one of the teams that benefited to this tournament.
“We as the Boitumelo Sports NPC intend to donate another soccer kits to the needy teams because there are dedicated coaches whose teams do not have attire. We have committed ourselves to helping to improve our community sports. These coaches most of them are not working and they can’t afford to buy soccer kits for their teams. We will help as much as we can to assist them for their commitment to improve our sports,” he said.
