Sharpeville boy scores first professional goal

SHARPEVILLE.- Tshepang ‘Buda’ Moremi scored his first professional goal when Amazulu played 1-1 against Orlando Pirates in the Dstv Premier Soccer League match over the weekend. Moremi is one of the local boys who was promoted to the PSL by their respective clubs at the beginning of the season and he has never disappointed as he always works hard, every opportunity he gets to play, either starting the game or coming in as a substitute. Against Orlando Pirates he started the game and gave Pirates’ defenders a tough time with his speed down on the right flank. This speedy winger scored an equalizing goal for Amazulu after Pirates took an early lead. He scored a brilliant goal after a perfect cross from the left beating Pirates goalkeeper, Siyabonga Mpontshane. However, he was forced out due to muscle injury in the second half. Amazulu Coach, Benni McCarthy was full of compliments for this Sharpeville rising star. Speaking after the game, McCarthy said Moremi is  a hard worker who always puts 100 percent at training. “I’m happy with Tshepang’s work rate at training and he is one players that will give you 120 percent commitment at training and during games”, said McCarthy.
