Vanderbijlpark SAPS’ annual awards

VANDERBIJLPARK.- The Vanderbijlpark SAPS Management with the support of the Deputy District Commissioner Brigadier PP Mokoena and External Stakeholders honoured members of Vanderbijlpark SAPS yesterday.

The members were honoured for their dedication, hard work and for never backing down from fighting crime during 2020 and 2021. Police Spokesperson Sergeant, Gertrude Makhale said that the SAPS as with the rest off the World had to deal with the Covid 19 pandemic and the policing of preventative measures and regulations, including the unrest.

“These members never stood back in the midst of being affected personally but stepped up to the unknown challenges and did what needed to be done. It was a privilege to honor the men and woman in blue at this Annual Prestigious event at Kgalala Palace for their commitment and perseverance. Members received Certificates as well as trophies in different categories, and at the end of the day the difficult task of the Vanderbijlpark SAPS Management under the capable leadership of the Station Commander Brigadier NP Hoaeane had to award the members Tactical Team members the roving Trophy ”

The undisputed winners was the Vanderbijlpark SAPS VISPOL Intervention/Task Team.

“This 5 man Team just never slept, assisted not only in Vanderbijlpark but also at neighbouring Stations, even our neighbour Provinces. They made impact driven arrests with positive convictions, recovered numerous stolen/robbed firearms and vehicles/trucks. The impact of these members commitmemt and actions on Priority/Trio Crimes are just unimaginable. All these accolades serves as a reminder where we come from, what we went through but also motivating all members of Vanderbijlpark SAPS to keep fighting the good fight, to walk tall amongst our communities and face crime head on in 2022.”
