MEYERTON. – According to police Spokesperson Constable Tlaleng Moloi, Police received a call from the victims at around 07:15 on Monday morning.
“On arrival, police found two African females wounded. One of them was declared dead on the scene by paramedics and one was treated and taken to hospital for medical attention.”
Moloi said the motive behind the was heinous crime not known.
Following the incident, Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) released a statement, condemning the brutal attack.
“The victims involved are two community members, one had been injured and treated by the medical team while the other unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.”
The municipality urged community members to be vigilant and exercise caution during the festive season
MLM further said that they were working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that Midvaal residents feel safe.
