Security company discover stolen garden tools
The security personnel gave chase to the suspects, who fled into an open veld.
DE DEUR.- The members of the Sandlulube Security Services Company discovered stolen wheelbarrows and other gardening implements in an open veld near Savanna City on Monday morning. This was while on a chase after two young male suspects.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Sandlulube Security Services Company Director, Nkosifikile Gqomo reported that at around 4:00 in the morning security personnel from his company were patrolling in the area when they noticed that something was suspicious after seeing two men hanging around.
The security personnel gave chase to the suspects, who fled into an open veld.
“We appeal to the Savanna City community to work together to fight crime in our area. There is a project that is taking place in Ward 11 Ext 3 and these people wanted to steal those materials that benefit the community. It is all our duty to protect what belongs to us because if we didn’t arrive in time they could have ran away with those wheelbarrows and other materials. However, we will continue to protect our community especially at this time of the year. We all know that at this time of the year crime increases in our community. Like I said it must be our responsibility to protect our community especially businesses in our area,” he concluded.
