- SHARPEVILLE. – The incident happened just a few meters away from the Mothamaha home.
Mother Khantse Mothamaha(76) said that Daddy reported that he was going to visit a close friend.
“I wanted to send him to the shops but he said he would go when he came back. But he never made it back home.”
Khantse says she was alerted by a neighbour who came to fetch her from her house. “I heard someone calling Daddy’s name and on further inspection, the man told me to hurry up. I didn’t waste anytime and quickly went with him. When I arrived at the scene, I saw my son’s lifeless body. I knew that he was gone, so I covered him.”
Khantse said that Daddy’s clothes were badly damaged and his cellphone destroyed. Khantse said she was not going to wait for officials to come and declare Daddy dead before she could cover him.
“We are deeply disturbed and saddened by this incident. My son died innocent. He was a happy and humble soul. He loved helping the community and that is why he is widely known in this area.”
