SEDIBENG.- The Nale Football Academy has been invited to participate at the Mamelodi Sundowns Top Four U/18 Tournament scheduled to take place in Pretoria this Sunday. The tournament involves selected u/18 teams from different regions.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Refiloe Poletsi who helps with administration at the academy said that this is a great honour for the academy, to be invited by one of the successful clubs in the continent to participate in their tournament. Poletsi said that this an honour to receive an invitation from Sundowns development taking into consideration the club’s success in the African football.

“This is lifetime opportunity for these boys to showcase their talent against the best development club in the country. This is also a great opportunity for our boys to be tested against the best opponents. We are looking forward to enjoying ourselves more than anything else. This is also good news for the development of football in Sedibeng. They could have invited other teams but because they know what our boys are capable of, they invited us. We want to take this opportunity to thank Mamelodi Sundowns development team for inviting us to be part of this tournament,” said Poletsi.

The Nale Academy has since asked for the postponement of their much-anticipated Super League match against Waya Waya FC on Sunday.
