Nurses deny the sad situation at Bophelong Clinic exists

Ndwandwe insisted that his visit was in good faith and not a trap.

BOPHELONG. – The staff and nurses at the Bophelong clinic have angrily refuted claims of disorganisation or a bad state at the clinic.

They said that they had invited the newly elected Ward 7 Councillor, Nkosinathi Ndwandwe only to assist with the rubbish that has been piling up at the clinic’s entrances, and not to report on anything bad about them or the clinic.

This is after the story appeared on social media platforms dated 09 November with heading: “Bophelong clinic not in good state”.

A nurse who asked to remain anonymous said much to their astonishment they were surprised to read on the Sedibeng Ster website that Ndwandwe had come to discover failing filing system.

Sedibeng Ster was reliably informed by one of the nurses who asked to remain anonymous that they invited the Ndwandwe about the rubbish piling up at the gate and nothing else.

Asked how Ndwandwe gained access inside the building towards the old files, another nurse said this was because he was asking to see how the building looks like inside. ” The rubbish has not been collected in a while by the Emfuleni Waste Management and during his visits he was informed why the clinic was closed the previous weekend, to do the filing. We are doing our best as we are operating with a huge number of the community members, also the clinic has run out of filing space,” said the nurses. “It’s my duty to work together with all government institutions as well as the community,” said Ndwandwe.
