March against pollution in Waterdal

"What we ask is for Eskom to go for renewable ways."

SEBOKENG.-  The Waterdal community marched against coal  pollution in the area recently. This march was organised mainly by Serapeng Sa Basadi Le Ditlhareng Project in conjunction with other organizations. The march took place from Kwaggastroom, through to Sebe Street against Eskom to stop generating electricity using coal because it is polluting the air. “What we ask is for Eskom to go for renewable ways. We have a serious climate change crisis and we want Eskom and Mittal to reduce using fossil fuels such as coal because it is very bad for the climate. Our slogan is ‘Keep their air clean and the sky blue’,” the protesters said.
