Illegal occupation on the rise in Ext 28

SEBOKENG. – Occupation without allocation in Extension 28, Zone 20, has now reach levels of illegality that sees doors and windows blocked with rocks and cardboard boxes by occupants who are illegal. A 40-year-old mother of three is sitting in ‘a shell’ of a house with no electricity, water or sanitation in the belief that if she occupies the house maybe something better will come her way. “I came here three days ago with the hope that once the allocation continues on 26 October mother luck will favour me,” she said. Nellisiwe Mthombeni said she also followed the crew that started to illegally occupy the four roomed incomplete houses. “ Despite the fact that all about 400 houses has no electricity or water, people are occupying the houses all the same.
