Broos is my man!

Broos you’re my man, they think they sabotage you, but they are not aware that you’re mission is completely different from the rest.

It seems as if Bafana Bafana Coach Hugo Broos is a real deal!

This old man did what other coaches have failed to do when he got rid of the “has been” in the national team and opted for the ‘no name’ players who are angry for success. He was under heavy criticism when he left out some of the so called super stars at the expense of so-called inexperienced players. He seems to be a real deal taking into consideration that for all these years some coaches were scared to drop some big names from our national teams.

Can somebody give this man a Bells for his bravery!

It has paid  off for him in a positive way with the new look Bafana team rewarding him for having faith on them. TOUCHLINE is an advocate of development and for a change, Broos is my man, love or hate him.  As a matter of fact, he should rather fail playing with these no name players than with the so-called ‘experienced campaigners’.

Some of us don’t even know those players but what a revelation for our national teams with no names’ players nogal. When SAFA announced the appointment of this “madala” everyone was kicking every available brick in front of them, including yours truly, TOUCHLINE. Please don’t misunderstood me, TOUCHLINE doesn’t necessary approve this “madala” for the inclusion of young players in the national team, he is my man!

They say give credit where it is due, and this is exactly what TOUCHLINE is doing. Broos is aware that this country is so blessed with young talent but the PSL clubs with fat cheques don’t believe in youngsters regardless of having development structures.

For example, if you look at big teams like Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, their players are all over the PSL and GladAfrica Championships clubs on loan. It is like a car company that produce Rolls-Royce but not use it. This is exactly what these above mentioned three teams do with their talent.

However, TOUCHLINE must admit that this is a South African football problem to call a 24-year-old player a youngster, that is why it is hard for a 17-year-old to command a regular place in the PSL. However, there are those clubs especially the so-called small teams that are brave enough to throw them in the deep end.

Broos you’re my man, they think they sabotage you, but they are not aware that you’re mission is completely different from the rest.

Who would have thought that Bafana Bafana would produce such a performance against Ethiopia away from home nogal when they beat them 3-1 in the Qatar World Cup Qualifier match. For a change, somebody came in our country and believed in our young players more than we do . Lastly, it was great to see soccer fans back at the stadium when Bafana Bafana beat Ethiopia 1-0 in the Qatar World Cup Qualifier return match on Tuesday night.

TOUCHLINE hopes to see them at PSL games soon even though PSL has dismissed the claims that fans might return to the stadium.
