Regional Play-offs take off

Eight teams must battle it out in the field of play to produce six teams that will be promoted to the Safa Sedibeng SAB League.

SEDIBENG.-  The Safa Sedibeng Regional Play-offs are scheduled to take place this weekend at a venue still to be announced. This was revealed to Sedibeng Ster Sport, by the Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) Competitions Convener, Oupa Tladinyane, who speaking on behalf of the association.

Sedibeng will be represented by four teams which were winners from  four streams namely, Sebokeng, Evaton, Boitshepiville and Vanderbijlpark Stream with Lesedi and Midvaal Local Football Associations bringing two teams each that finished first and second respectively on the log standings. Tladinyane said the Play-offs will be divided into two streams with the three top three teams in both streams being promoted to the SAB League after a proposal to have 24 teams in SAB League in the next new season.

But first, eight teams must battle it out in the field of play to produce six teams that will be promoted to the Safa Sedibeng SAB League. In fact, initially, it was proposed that the four teams that finished in position one in steams will be promoted straight to Safa Sedibeng SAB League, but all this has changed, and the winners must go through the Play-offs process .
