MRC hosts sports activities to celebrate Heritage Day

Speaker after speaker motivated the youth to take part in sports activities.

SHARPEVILLE. – It was hive of activities at Tshepiso Sports Center when the Marematlou Relaent Community Organisation from Tshepiso Phase 1 in Sharpeville celebrated Heritage Day on Friday. The organisation organised a fun day with lots of sporting activities. The sporting codes that formed part of these activities were Five-A-side, netball, soccer and basketball. The day’s programme started with speeches representatives from Live Line, Love Life and Marematlou Relaent Community Organisation addressing the youth about the impact of drugs and crime in the community. Speaker after speaker motivated the youth to take part in sports activities. Some if the guest speakers were Malefu Ralenala from Live Line, Mampho Sempe from Love Life and Lucky Mogotsi from Sports, Arts and Culture Department. Marematlou Relaent Community Organisation  Coordinator, Tsietsi Mafisa said that the Tshepiso community made this event a success with their support. “We want to thank everyone who played part to making sure that this day became a great success. As Marematlou Relaent Community Organisation we are very happy how the day turned out,” he said.
