Vaal Football Legends put a smile on Kojoana’s family faces

“I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this project. In the future, we intend to invest more in our communities."

SEBOKENG.- A donation of groceries and a wheelchair from the Vaal Football Legends to the Kojoana family in Zone 11, Sebokeng recently brightened everyone’s day and brought smiles to the faces of the needy family. In an interview with Sedibeng Ster Sport, Peter ‘Fire’ Khoabane said this initiative is about giving back to the community that supported their careers when some of them were still in the top tier football leagues. Vaal Football Legends is a non-profit organisation consisting of former soccer players from the Sedibeng region. The organization hasn’t missed out on a chance to give back to the community by participating in a series of charity matches. Khoabane said that this project was a great success with the Kojoana’s family overwhelmed by the generosity from Vaal Football Legends. “We were all touched by the family’s situation, especially the father, since he desperately needed a wheelchair. “I want to thank everyone who contributed to the success of this project. In the future, we intend to invest more in our communities. “These are the people who supported us when we started our amateur football until we graduated to professional football. They were there for us hence we return this favour to them to take care of their needs,” said Khoabane. Some of the people who contributed to the success of this project were Moeketsi Khanye, Meshack Mokgema, Pola Mapulane, Shadrack Monareng and Umlilo Masters to mention but a few. Khoabane said these individuals gave from their own pockets.
