Sedibeng MKMVA attend Maphatsoe’s funeral

Radebe, who was one of the close friends of the late Maphatsoe said that the nation has lost a giant and a freedom fighter.

SEDIBENG.-  Johnny ‘Mkhonto’ Radebe headed the Vaal Platoon (ex-combatants) of the MKMVA ahead of receiving of the body of the late President of the MKMVA, Kebby Maphatsoe at his home in Meyersdale , Erkhuruleni on Saturday. The MKMVA leader died last Tuesday and the cause of his death was not disclosed.  He served as Deputy Minister of Defence from 2014 to 2019. Maphatsoe served as the national chairperson of the defunct MKMVA since 2007. He is a former member of the Congress of South African Students, Soweto Youth Congress and the South African Youth Congress (Sayco). Maphotsoe was buried in an MK military style in front of some of the ANC elite and ex-combatants on Sunday. Radebe, who was one of the close friends of the late Maphatsoe said that the nation has lost a giant and a freedom fighter.
