WATCH: Alleged drunk cop arrested after car crash at CW6 property

Gertrude Makhale, spokesperson for the SAPS in Vanderbijlpark, confirmed that the incident took place and that the driver of the vehicle had been arrested.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – A power box, fence, canopy, sliding doors and two vehicles were damaged, after a policeman with an unmarked state vehicle burst through a fencein a house at CW6 at around 23:04 on Saturday night.

According to Danie Ackerman, the owner of the house in 31B Jan Cilliers street in CW6, he suffered major damage. Ackerman alleges that the driver of the vehicle was drunk and unsteady on his feet.

Empty liquor bottles were found next to the gray Ford Figo, confirming Ackerman’s suspicion.

To make matters worse, the policeman threatened with violence when a bystander took a video of the scene.

According to Ackerman, there were dossiers in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
