SDM welcomes opening of two additional vaccination sites

SEDIBENG.- Lerato Maloka, the Executive Mayor of the Sedibeng District Municipality (SDM) has welcomed the opening of two additional vaccination sites by the Gauteng Provincial government.

The Sedibeng District public vaccination sites accept walk-ins, whether people are registered or not.

Speaking over the weekend, Maloka said, “I urge all the eligible persons to visit the two opened vaccination sites and get vaccinated. Covid-19 vaccination reduces every one of us chances of getting severe illness or hospitalization in the event we contract Covid-19.” Maloka further reminded the Sedibeng residents that Covid-19 is real and amongst us and to continue the wearing of the mask, keeping a safe physical distance and washing hands regularly or using a hand sanitizer.

The SDM encompasses the Lesedi Local Municipality, Midvaal Local Municipality and the Emfuleni Local Municipality.
