New Horizon Movement welcomes Maimane’s visit

VANDERBIJLPARK.  – The President of the New Horizon Movement (NHM), Bishop Jones welcomed the visit of the Chief activist of the One South Africa (OSA), Mmusi Maimane at the movements’ offices in Vanderbijlpark on Monday.

Maimane is the former president of the Democratic Alliance (DA) and NHM is a new ‘movement’ in the country.

Maimane assured to support the NHM come the local government elections adding that they want to bring power closer to the people. Speaking during the media briefing, Jones said that they are going to contests in all wards in Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM).

“We want to give the residents a credible alternative to a failing political party system. Bringing the government closer to the community is our priority.”

Jones added that they are not a political party but a movement taking care about the needs of the people.

After the meeting Maimane accompanied Jones to drive further to check the status of the leaking sewer and water pipes in the area and the electric substations that are left unguarded posing danger to the public.

Maimane blamed the current government for failing to run the ELM.
