Lesako and Radebe give their best in the Carling Black Label Cup

“We want to thank all the people who voted for us because we didn’t expect to be in the starting line-up."

SEDIBENG. – Sabelo Radebe and Lebohang Lesako were tested for the first time in the Carling Black Label Cup when Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates on penalties at the Orlando Stadium, in Soweto on Sunday.

These two Sedibeng youngsters were voted for by soccer fans to be in the starting lineup and they did not disappoint, especially Sabele Radebe. He was outstanding pulling strings in the middle of the park and it didn’t come as a surprise when he played a full 90 minutes. Radebe produced a Man of the Match performance even though his teammate, Njabulo Blom, walked away with Man of the Match award.

Radebe was born in Sebokeng while Lesako’s home is Tshepiso in Sharpeville. The pair grew up playing against each other while still playing for Celta Vigo Development FC and Nale Football Academy respectively.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Radebe and Lesako the pair said that it was a great experience playing in the tournament.

“We want to thank all the people who voted for us because we didn’t expect to be in the starting line-up. We didn’t believe it when we were told that we will be starting the game because of the number of votes. This means people appreciate our talent and this is a motivation for us to work hard.”
