The sky is not the limit for Success!

“It (the music) started as poetry because I grew up always wanting to address issues in words that added rhythm to the speech."

SHARPEVILLE.- Local township talent, Teboho Dlamini aka ‘Success’ (pictured), a passionate musician, creative writer and performing artist, has been nominated for the MKMHA 2021 Awards that will be held in Sun City in November.
Dlamini was born in Soweto but raised in the Vaal where he started music when still in primary school.
He currently resides in Rooistena, Sharpeville.
“It (the music) started as poetry because I grew up always wanting to address issues in words that added rhythm to the speech. My first project was recorded under Ninja School in the Vaal in 2013 and that’s where everything started. I always strive to inspire because my music is available to build young minds and give hope to my peers.” Dlamini said that he moved back to Soweto in 2014 to further his music career but things did not go so well and he went to a business and music college where according to him, “everything came together”.
“I met with other artists who enjoyed my craft and paved a way for me and I started having performance gigs at poetry sessions. I was then discovered by Smoja Dlamini who is a visual Editor and Director.”
Dlamini then shot his first music video in 2015 of a song titled ‘MARY JANE’. From there on, together with his peers, Dlamini opened a media company BROSPROJECT and started shooting and editing Music videos for young upcoming artist such as Jove bari’amotswana, PTM, MO, Q mark and the likes. About the nomination Dlamini said: “It’s time for the world to see the Vaal talent.”
