General Molefe leads SAPS vaccination rollout

Molefe was among the first group of SAPS members who got their first jab of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine during the launch.

VEREENIGING. – The Captain of the SAPS, Sedibeng District Commissioner, Major General Zodwa Molefe, was at the forefront as the Sedibeng Cluster when it launched the vaccination rollout for police members in Vereeniging yesterday, 22 July. Molefe was among the first group of SAPS members who got their first jab of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine during the launch. She said that in the next four days she is expecting to see at least 700 members taking their first jab for the first time during the rollout of the vaccine.Police Spokesperson, Captain Fikile Funda said, “It is important for officers to heed the call to get vaccinated. Taking the jab is not mandatory. Those who choose not to be vaccinated will be expected to sign an indemnity form, said Funda. *Stations and Unit Commanders are urged to send as many members as possible as the district is only allocated the following dates: 2021-07-22, 2021-07-23, 2021-07-27 and 2021-07-29 by the Department of Health.
