“No looting on our areas”: Community and Business people

The business people came out in numbers to join the Anti-looting campaign. 

VANDERBIJLPARK. The local community and business in Vanderbijlpark people took a stand to say: “No looting in our areas.:. “No property destruction” on Friday morning. The business people came out in numbers to join the Anti-looting campaign. The convoy started in CW4, Vanderbijlpark, and cars drove around Vanderbijlpark, Bophelong and Tshirela. The recent looting in certain areas of Vaal has crippled not only the businesses but has left community with no places to buy. Ahmed Ahmed a prominent businessman said they were crippled by the recent protests that resulted with hundreds of business looted. He said since after that incident on 12 July, criminals have taken advantage and opportunity to loot .During the convoy, members of the Vanderbijlpark police were visible. The areas that were affected by the looting from Tuesday are Sharpeville Sebokeng, Orange Farms and Evaton.
