Sedibeng SAMLFA committee elected

SAFA Lifetime President, Dr Molefi Oliphant was tasked with the responsibility of conducting the elections.

SEBOKENG.- Themba Mokoena was elected the new Chairman of South African Masters and Legends Football Association (SAMLFA) in Sedibeng.
The elections took place at Meat Corner in Zone 14, Sebokeng over the weekend.

SAFA Lifetime President, Dr Molefi Oliphant was tasked with the responsibility of conducting the elections.

He was assisted by SAMLFA National President Jacob “Buddha” Mathathe and Sedibeng Masters Football Association President, Ramatladi ‘Rhoo” Sefatsa. For the past three years, SAMLFA in Sedibeng was run by an interim comittee with Mokoena as the acting Chairman. It came as no surprise when he was elected to lead this organisation for the next four years. This was because of the success of the organisation in the last three years while he was acting.
Sipho Chanza and George Mothibeli were elected as his first and second Deputy Chairmen with Austine Mlilwana and Kgabi Diale being elected General and Deputy General Secretary respectively.

George Moeng, Lucas Skotland and Chupi Tsukudu were elected as additional members. Speaking after been officially elected, Mokoena said his first priority was to bring the masters and legends together as mandated by the national office. He beleives that there is lot that needs to be done as the organisation to bring unity between the masters and legends.
“I’m happy that Sedibeng Masters Football Association President is here and soon we will be engaging him to bring these two organisations together. I also want to take this opportunity to thank the people who have faith in me to lead this organisation,” he said in his address speech.
