Residents continue to pay ‘flat rate’ at ELM

"Half loaf of a bread is better than nothing", the residents said.

VANDERBIJLPARK.  -Despite the fact that Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Speaker, Maipato Tsokolibane did not want to dwell too much on the issue of R600 ‘flat rate’, the residents were seen flashing monies to continue from where they left off with their rates and taxes payments last month.

Tsokolibane explained to Sedibeng Ster that to date theres no Council resolution that has been discussed on the matter.

Today, Thursday June 3, residents continued to go to the ELM offices in Vanderbijlpark to pay the R600 ‘flat rate’.

“Half loaf of a bread is better than nothing”, the residents said.

Tsokolibane reffered all enquiries on the matter to the office of ELM Executive Mayor, Gift Moerane.
