Two killed, seven injured in a two-vehicle collision

VEREENIGING.- Two adult women have died and seven other adults have been seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision on the R28 towards Vereeniging in the early hours of this morning.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 00:50 along with several other private services.
“Our medics tended to two women in their 20s from a blue VW – they had suffered serious injuries and were treated and transported to Carletonville Provincial hospital for further care.”
It is believed that four other people were found in that vehicle and three other adults were found in the second vehicle bringing the total of patients to nine.
One woman was unfortunately found dead on arrival and another woman is believed to have died on the scene shortly afterwards. The other services in attendance treated and transported the other patients with unknown injuries.
The South African Police Services (SAPS) were also on the scene for further investigations.
