The quiet Friday morning in the CW6 neighborhood was disrupted when a pregnant resident called other neighbors for help when two men jumped over the wall just before 11am and tried to gain access to the house.
The woman and her teenage son were relaxing in front of the television when they saw the men looking at them through the window.
The men probably thought there was no one home. They were armed but fled shortly afterwards.
Nothing was stolen in the incident and no one was injured.
However, the residents in the neighborhood were very shocked, but thanked the CW6 neighborhood watch who quickly took action and in particular the Rescom officers (Frans and Willem) who were on the scene within minutes.
Residents in the area are being warned to be on the lookout for two armed white men.
