Former Editor receives first COVID-19 jab

“With this pandemic, none of us are safe,” he said.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – After receiving his dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, Peter Mabuye, former editor of Vaal Vision and Vaal Weekly newspapers, described the process as liberating, amazing and efficient. Mabuye took his Phase 2 vaccine jab at the Johan Heyns Community Clinic recently. “I am fortunate and grateful to get the first dose of my COVID-19 vaccine. I feel lucky and I have no hesitation recommending it to anyone.” “I hope that this will demystify the process for people who might hesitate.” He appealed to everyone to profit from the opportunity to be vaccinated. “With this pandemic, none of us are safe,” he said. Mabuye hopes that the more people are vaccinated, the more the country can move further along the path to a ‘normal’ way of life. “The more people who receive the vaccine, the safer we will all be.”

He concluded by thanking the Healthcare workers and President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration for prioritising the vaccination of senior citizens.
