This manhole cover was stolen on Wednesday, April 21 in Van Dyck Street, a suburban street in the SW5 residential area, which is a popular short-cut for motorists. It is a serious danger: A child or pet could easily fall into the very deep drain or motorists vehicles could suffer severe damage or it could even cause an accident with another vehicle, which may be fatal.
The matter has been reported three times to the Emfuleni Municipality.
