Security guard injured in suspected CIT robbery

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 12:28 along with the Provincial Emergency Medical Services.

CARLETONVILLE. – A 39-year-old man has suffered moderate injuries in a suspected Cash-In-Transit (CIT) robbery on Hawk Street, outside Carletonville on Friday.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 12:28 along with the Provincial Emergency Medical Services.

 

“Three security guards were found on the scene with one of them having been treated by government services. ER24 took over the treatment of the patient, transporting him to a private hospital in the area.

“The other two guards are believed to have only suffered minor injuries and were walking around on scene. They were  also assessed by GPG.”

The South African Police Services (SAPS) were on the scene for further investigations.
